Betahorbit Is a Wedding Studio, Not a Booking Agency
Betahorbit was founded in Winnipeg in 2017 by a team of event professionals who'd spent years working inside catering operations, design houses, and venue management — and noticed the same problem from every angle: couples were being handed a vendor list and called ‘planned.' We built Betahorbit to offer something structurally different. We are a studio of five full-time planners, designers, and coordinators who work together on every file from day one. When you hire us, you don't get a single overworked freelancer who hands you off to strangers on the day. You get a team that has reviewed your contracts, walked your venue, and briefed your caterer — and at least one of whom will be on site from the first chair delivery to the last guest exit. Our work spans full-service planning for couples who want everything handled, and month-of coordination for those who've done their own groundwork and need a professional to bring it home.
How We Work — and Where We're Honest About Limits
Our process is built around a single planning document — a live shared file that every vendor, venue, and team member works from. We update it in real time, flag conflicts early, and use it to build your final run-of-show. Most of our couples describe the experience as feeling unusually calm compared to what friends told them to expect. That calm is engineered, not accidental. What we don't do: we don't manufacture food or alcohol, which means catering quality depends on the caterer you choose from our roster. We don't control weather, which is genuinely relevant in Manitoba — we build covered contingency plans for every outdoor element, but we can't guarantee sunshine. We also don't work with budgets below $25,000 CAD total spend, because below that threshold we can't source vendors who meet the quality standard we stand behind. We serve couples primarily in Winnipeg and across Manitoba, with occasional destination projects in BC and Ontario. If your date and scope are a fit, we'll tell you clearly in the first call.
What Makes the Betahorbit Approach Different
No vendor commissions
We don't accept referral fees from any vendor or venue. Every recommendation we make is based on quality and fit — our fee structure is transparent and fixed at the time of your proposal.
Seven years of Winnipeg weddings
Since 2017, we've developed deep local knowledge — which venues have tricky load-in logistics, which caterers run reliably early, and which spaces photograph well in October light.
