What Does a Wedding That You'll Actually Remember Look Like?

Flat-lay of wedding planning tools with rose-warm linen and dried florals

It looks like everything handled — and nothing feeling handled. That's the Betahorbit standard.

One Studio, Every Service You Need

Betahorbit operates as a full-service wedding studio, which means you don't need to stitch together a separate planner, a separate designer, and a separate vendor coordinator. We handle the whole picture — and because every discipline talks to each other within our team, nothing slips through the cracks. A design decision made in week two is automatically reflected in the venue layout by week eight. Your caterer and your florist are briefed from the same master document. We've developed this integrated approach over seven years of Winnipeg weddings, and it consistently produces smoother days and more coherent aesthetics than the piecemeal model. If you come to us for planning only, we'll still share our full vendor network and aesthetic guidance. If you want us end-to-end, we can do that too.

Our Services in Detail

Every offering below is available individually or as part of a bundled package — we'll recommend the right fit during your first consultation.

Full-Service Wedding Planning

Engagement to exit: we manage your entire wedding from the moment you say yes to the night of. This includes a structured planning timeline (typically 12–18 months), vendor sourcing and vetting, contract review, budget tracking, guest management tools, rehearsal coordination, and a dedicated day-of lead. Available for ceremonies of 20 to 300 guests.

Month-of Coordination

Already planned most of it yourself? Our Month-of Coordination steps in six weeks before your date to review every contract, confirm every vendor, build the final run-of-show, and lead your wedding day from start to finish. Ideal for self-directed couples who want a professional safety net when it actually matters.

Venue Sourcing & Contract Negotiation

We shortlist up to five venues that match your guest count, style, and budget — covering Winnipeg, the Whiteshell, and points between. We tour with you, ask the hard questions, and negotiate capacity, overtime fees, and catering minimums before you sign anything.

Catering & Menu Coordination

We connect you with Manitoba caterers who align with your vision — from farm-to-table prairie menus to multicultural family-style banquets. We manage tasting sessions, dietary tracking, and service-staff briefings so the food side of your day runs as beautifully as everything else.

Design & Styling

We develop a complete visual brief for your wedding: colour palette, floral concept, linen and tableware selections, lighting design, ceremony backdrop, and reception focal points. On the day, our styling team installs everything and strikes it at close. Rose-warm tones, organic textures, and candlelit warmth are hallmarks of our Winnipeg aesthetic.

Questions We Hear Before Every First Call

Honest answers — because a good fit matters more than a quick booking.

How far in advance should we book?

For full-service planning, 12 to 18 months out gives us the best venue and vendor availability in Winnipeg. Month-of Coordination can be booked as late as three months before your date, though earlier is always better. Summer and early fall dates fill fastest — we typically close out peak weekends by January of the same year.

Do you work outside Winnipeg?

Yes. We regularly work in the Whiteshell, Riding Mountain, and Gimli, and we've coordinated destination weddings in BC and Ontario for Manitoba-based couples. Travel fees apply for events more than 100 km from Winnipeg, and we'll outline those clearly in your proposal.

What's your typical budget range?

We work with Winnipeg couples whose total wedding budgets range from $25,000 to $120,000 CAD. Our planning fees are separate from vendor costs and are scoped during your initial consultation. We don't take commissions from vendors — our advice is never influenced by who pays us the most referral.

Can you work with our cultural or religious traditions?

Absolutely. We've coordinated South Asian, Jewish, Ukrainian, Filipino, and Indigenous-ceremony weddings in Winnipeg, among many others. We take time before any proposal to understand the rituals, timings, and non-negotiables specific to your tradition, and we brief every vendor accordingly.

What happens if something goes wrong on the day?

We carry contingency plans for the most common failure points: vendor no-shows, weather changes for outdoor elements, timeline slippage, and technical issues with AV. Our day-of lead is a problem-solver by training, not just a schedule-reader. In seven years, no couple has ever had to manage a crisis themselves on their wedding day.

“We did the Month-of Coordination package after planning everything ourselves for 14 months. The Betahorbit team caught three vendor conflicts we'd completely missed and rewrote our run-of-show to fix a 45-minute gap we hadn't noticed. Absolute game-changer in the final stretch.”
